Terms and Conditions for Consumers
1. DESCRIPTION, PURPOSE, PARTIES
These terms of use (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") apply to the service TrustedBuilders provided by Byggstart AS (Norway). (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") to you. TrustedBuilders is a service that helps project owners find tradespeople for construction and renovation work. By registering your project, you accept these Terms of Use for Trustedbuilders.co.uk.
If there are significant changes to these Terms, you will be notified at least 30 days before the new Terms come into effect via the email address you have registered.
2. USE OF TRUSTEDBUILDERS
2.1. USE AND LIMITATIONS
The Company continually develops the service with new features and possibilities, but the Company also has the full right to remove or modify existing features.
You are not allowed to resell the entire service or parts of it to unauthorized third parties, nor may you use the service for commercial purposes.
All images, text, and other information you upload to TrustedBuilders.co.uk are granted to the Company and third parties authorized by the Company the right to use in their original or modified form in connection with TrustedBuilders' operations, including for integration of TrustedBuilders into other systems and services or for marketing TrustedBuilders. You are responsible for ensuring that the material you post on TrustedBuilders does not violate copyright or other legal rights of third parties.
If you use TrustedBuilders in a way that violates the Terms or misuse the service in a way that harms the Company, tradespeople, or other users of TrustedBuilders, the Company may claim damages.
2.2. GUIDANCE FROM TRUSTEDBUILDERS
If you need assistance from TrustedBuilders regarding the service and its functions, you are free to contact TrustedBuilders through any communication channel during the stated business hours.
2.3. REQUESTING A QUOTE FOR A JOB
A request for a quote is submitted to TrustedBuilders, which then forwards the request to service providers within the network.
2.4. QUOTE FOR THE JOB
The service provider provides a quote for the work directly to you as the consumer. TrustedBuilders is not involved in the preparation of the quote and is not responsible for its content. You are free to either accept or decline the quote from the tradesperson.
2.5. ACCEPTING THE QUOTE FOR THE JOB
By accepting the tradesperson's quote for the work, you enter into a binding agreement with the provider. The Company is not a party to the agreement between you as the consumer and the tradesperson.
2.6. PAYMENT FOR THE JOB
Terms and conditions regarding payment for the work are specified in the quote you receive from the tradesperson.
2.7. FEEDBACK ON COMPLETED WORK
When a project is completed, TrustedBuilders requests feedback on the work performed. This is done to ensure the quality of tradespeople in TrustedBuilders' network. TrustedBuilders has the full right to publish reviews with the consumer's full name and details about the work being reviewed.
3. RESPONSIBILITY
The Company is not a party to the agreements made between the user of the service and the provider of the trade service. The agreements between the consumer and the provider are entered into at the user’s own risk, and it is the user’s responsibility to assess whether the provider(s) are suitable for the specific work. You cannot make claims against the Company for defects or faults in the work performed.
The Company aims to ensure that the information provided by and about the company, as well as information regarding our services, is correct and useful. However, the Company cannot be held responsible for any consequences that such information and advice may have for you as the consumer. Therefore, you should always carefully evaluate and consider the information you receive and may choose to hire an expert to make a thorough assessment if you deem it necessary.
The Company is not responsible for technical errors or other unforeseen events that make the service slower or unavailable, such as server download time, technical issues with the website, or similar events.
4. HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA
As part of the company's obligations under these Terms, the company will handle personal data about you. The company will always adhere to the relevant provisions regarding personal data and privacy as specified in the Data Protection Act. The types of personal data collected and how they are handled are described in the company's privacy policy, which is available on the company's website at www.trustedbuilders.co.uk. The company will always maintain the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure that the user's personal data is processed securely and in accordance with the applicable requirements for privacy, confidentiality, and availability as outlined in the Data Protection Act.
You consent to receiving emails related to the project registered on TrustedBuilders. You also agree to receive electronic newsletters from TrustedBuilders. Emails and newsletters from TrustedBuilders may also contain information and marketing from our partners. You can voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter.
You agree that the company may be legally obligated to continue storing data about you after the project work has been completed.
6. TRANSFER OF USER INFORMATION
The company has the right to transfer user information to another entity that takes over all or parts of TrustedBuilders. This also applies if the company changes the name of the service. The company also has the right to transfer user information to another business that is part of the same group as TrustedBuilders.
